Submitting information for first evaluation

Online registration during the registration period.

Items of Note

  1. Fill in your personal data and work description as indicated.
  2. Upload five work photos for the first evaluation. These are not limited to photographs of the finished work, drawings or 3D renderings of virtual design drawings.
  3. If your entry is already completed, please follow the instructions on the online registration page to upload photos of the completed entry from various angles, and photos of the creative process. 
  4. The photos should be in JPG file format, color palette RGB, with the photo long side having a minimum of 2,000 pixels, and single image files of less than 10MB.
  5. No name, image of the artist/author, brand symbol, studio logo or other identifiable information should appear in the photos.
  6. The following will not be accepted nor processed: entrants whose registration information is incomplete, submissions that are received after the deadline, and submissions not compliant with these guidelines.

Submitting information for second evaluation

  1. Works chosen after first-round evaluation will be announced on the official event website. Candidates are required to submit “a completed work” and “appended information” per the guidelines (an original paper copy) to a specified location within a designated period (based on the time posted on the official website).
  2. For works accepted during first-round evaluation, “a completed work” must be submitted, so that the entrant can qualify for a sample work cost subsidy of up to NT$10,000. Only one application can be made per work.
  3. Entrants who fail to deliver the entry in its entirety within the designated time will be considered to have forfeited participation eligibility.
  4. Information on receiving works will be later posted on the official event website.

   (2)Special Award for Creative Excellence in Taiwan Domestic Timber 3 person at the most 1 trophy, 1 certificate, 300 cai (“cai” refers to 2,700 cubic meters of domestic timber) per recipient (prize may not be resold), and exhibition space with promotional exposure perks

  • Awards will be presented based on the evaluations made by jury panel members. The judges also have the discretion to increase and reduce the number of prizewinners or declare there to be no winner.
  • Cash prizes will be subject to withholding tax in accordance with provisions stated in the Income Tax Act of the Republic of China. Cash prizes of NT$20,000 and above will be subject to a withholding tax of 20%.
  • Prizewinning works are required to cooperate with the museum’s competition results exhibition which is held in conjunction with the “2023 Daxi wood Life Festival” (provisional name)
  • In the event a participant breaks the compition rules their eligibility to win an award will be rescinded and the museum will seek the return of any cup, prize money or medal awarded. In addition, participants will be liable for any and all legal liability and where losses are incurred compensation will be sought for property and reputational damage.
