Bronze medal|The T. Bench
The inspiration behind "T. Bench" comes from the terraced landscape of the Sanxia Three-Terrace area. The chair legs are designed in a T-shaped structure, and the use of slanted stacking and varying wood stains subtly presents the imagery of the three terraced levels. In terms of craftsmanship, modern digital manufacturing techniques are employed for the chair legs, simulating the terraced contours. The chair seat and T-shaped legs, on the other hand, employ traditional techniques, utilizing dovetail and mortise-and-tenon joinery, blending both modern aesthetics and traditional craftsmanship. This chair's design is suitable for placement in public spaces. Apart from individual seating, the arrangement of two chairs in a mirrored manner echoes the common pillars and rounded arch facade profiles seen in the historic Daxi Old Street. The representation of the three terraced levels also symbolizes the emphasis on architectural detailing during that era.
